Hillary Clinton was a longtime friend of Donald Trump. Furthermore, the Hillary Campaign supported Trump during the primary phase of the 2016 election, "believing" that she would more easily defeat Trump than other candidates. Toward the end of her campaign, she explicitly refused to campaign in swing states she "believed" she owned. Comey, a well connected Obama official made revelations immediately before the elction which could have switched far more votes than any Russian "interference" verified so far.
All this evidence suggests that Hillary and Trump are not working within different deep state factions. They are obviously the same Deep State faction, otherwise the above would have been different.
This shows Russiagate, contributed to by many deep state forces within the fairly closely aligned factions of Clinton and Obama, was not about defeating Trump--because he is the same faction!
It was, of course, about controlling Trump, preventing him from detente with Russia, etc. As a loose cannon, Trump needed closer monitoring that presidents like Obama and George W Bush who grew up as spy brats. BTW, essentially the same factions of the Deep State have been running the USA since Allen Dulles persuaded and supported Eisenhower in 1952. Kennedy was assassinated because he went off script.
Similar reasoning probably applies to Ukrainegate.
Trumps action in witholding weapons from Ukraine (as part of alleged extortion to get dirt on Biden) would be fine with me, if he had stuck to that position--withholding the weapons on antiwar principles. If he were to have been my hero, we would have withheld that aid unconditionally and dared Congress to impeach him. Then they'd have to discuss the weapons issue. I would like to see the US pressing for peace unconditionally in Syria and Ukraine (without conditions, say, of removing Assad), withdrawing Syrian forces as their Syrian Arab Army replacements arrive, sending no more weapons, and reaching detente with Russia.
But instead, he was rolled, and the weapons shipped, and more troops were sent to Syria. He has no antiwar credentials, though it seemed like he was coming temptingly close in a few cases. But that tricky move is exactly what we've seen in other many other areas.
