Humility

I am coming to believe that humility is more important than intelligence.

Humility isn't knowing what you don't know (though that is the single most useful part of knowledge).

Humility is knowing there's a whole world of things that you hardly even know about, which includes many of the things you think you know a lot about.

Humility is knowing it's impossible to dominate or control for very long.  Domination sets in motion the forces that are its own undoing.

Ultimately, humility is a key part of wisdom.  Intelligence can help to achieve humility, but other than that, it's not worth much and could even have negative value.  As often as not, intelligence is trying to do things which shouldn't even be attempted, like domination and control.
